I called Nick at 5:30pm on a Friday to move the next day at 10am, which happened to be the coldest day in Boston in around 60 years. Nick and his crew arrived around 10 the next day and did a great job

I used Nick’s moving company to move and store my apartment contents last spring. Nick and his team provided a quick estimate for their services and the price was significantly less than his competitors. They showed up on the day of the move and packed and loaded my apartment in just a few hours. They handled everything with care and stored them at his storage facility. The facility was convenient and I could access my items with a call. I would recommend Nicks moving. Great overall experience!

I had to leave my one bedroom apartment at the end of August, during probably the busiest season of the year here in Cambridge. Nick’s Moving Company took care of my move and storage very professionally. Nick is very responsive and helpful, and his staff really know what they are doing when handling all sorts of objects, including fragile and very heavy ones! I fully recommend their service.

Nick’s Moving moved me from Somerville to Eastham this summer. The movers were courteous and efficient and took very good care of my stuff. Booking was easy and the whole experience was about as painless as moving can be. Pricing was also reasonable. I would definitely recommend Nick’s to a friend.

I hired Nick's Moving for an out-of-state move. Nick was very pleasant to work with from beginning to end, communicative and responsive. His price was also quite reasonable and fair compared to other companies. On moving day, two gentlemen arrived with the truck within the timeframe specified more or less, Nick called me in the morning with a status update which I greatly appreciated. The two men had everything down and loaded up within an hour, they drove straight away to my new apartment and got there at the same time I did. Similarly, they had everything unloaded and upstairs in my new apartment within an hour. Both individuals ('Hess' & 'Lucky') were enthusiastic about their work, friendly, and professional. They had me sign the paperwork which reflected the quote Nick gave/charged, no hidden fees or additions, all was transparent. I tipped them well and think they deserved more. I'd describe my out-of-state moving experience with Nick as easy, smooth, low-stress, efficient, and well worth it. Would highly recommend Nick's to anyone needing professional moving services.

Nick helped me move a big couch to the third floor of a small apartment with a hoist job. I got a delivery, mismeasured things and it could not up the stairs, I called him and he sent a team asap and they got it up there. The team's energy was great. They were really enjoyable to work with and got the job done in unbelievably fast time. Thanks, Nick and the crew!

Quick apartment move. Did a good job. Friendly moving team also, not the quickest but not 1 thing scratched so that's fine with me. I've seen local movers mess everything up even on a move up the street. Nick's did a much better job than last company I used.

We just moved recently to a new house, the staff was extremely helpful and professional, they know what they are doing, they took care of everything for us, they made moving seem easy. They were wearing masks at all time and kept Their distance .
They were shockingly very fast, the whole move took them 5 hours which is not bad at all ! They were on time And very friendly and followed the directions we gave them. When we arrived at the new house they took a quick scan to get familiar to the house then i stood on the entrance door and direct each person where to go with the boxes they have. It was really great and i was stress free. Nicks will be my go to for my next move for sure.

Moving is stressful, but selecting the right moving company does not have to be a stressor. Nick’s Moving Co is cheap and friendly, as advertised, but they were also accommodating in scheduling and met additional requirements I needed. Overall, they were professionals. I was impressed by the young crew who wore masks during the entire move, and were mindful of my belongings. The company also has a comprehensive COVID procedure. They also went above and beyond by making additional stops, and even kept furniture overnight at their warehouse so they can drop them off to Habitat for Humanity for me. I will definitely be hiring Nick’s Moving Co for my next move (although I hope it’ll be long time from now!).

Due to the current circumstances, I was unable to be present during the move. I had to make all the arrangements to move stuff out of my Cambridge apartment all the way from my home in Vancouver Canada. This was incredibly stressful but these gentlemen made it much easier than I thought. The level of care that went into packing was absolutely amazing. They wrapped all my furniture in plastic tape, packed all my stuff in heavy duty boxes in an organized manner and send me pictures throughout the whole process. In addition to writing this review, I gave Nick a call to thank him and his crew over the phone for being so mindful of my situation and caring during these stressful times.

I was very impressed with Nick's moving company and how they showed up on time, moved our gigantic bedroom set without a scratch and kept it affordable. You have three options for moving. Let your friends break your stuff for the cost of a couple of pizzas and some beer, pay a mover to ruin your furniture, or hire Nick's to get the job done right. I choose option Nick, and so should you. In fact, let me save you some time, his rates are very competitive. If someone tells you they can do it for less, be weary. His team was punctual, and came exactly when they said they would. They were professional and took care with all of our stuff. Our furniture was wrapped and our boxes were neatly stacked. They were fast, and worked very hard on one of the hottest days of the year. They never once complained and they all worked together. So book them. And when you do make sure to provide some drinks and tip your movers. It's a hard job, and a little appreciation goes a long way.

We had a terrific experience with Nick’s moving. They were flexible, patient, helpful and did an excellent job. It took us 3 times to get all our stuff into our new house and they were fair in terms of pricing! We had to change the move date multiple times because they were still working on the new house but Nick and his crew were so nice about it. They were accommodating and helpful in finding new times that worked in my busy schedule. I highly recommend Nick’s moving for your next move! .

I've used Nick's Moving four or five times now in the past five years: Once to unload a huge truck I packed myself, once to unload a house to prepare it for renovations, once to move stuff back into the house, once to move some random stuff from one house to another, and once to shuttle stuff from a few different places to a storage space. Each time I called they offered a reasonable price for what I was asking. And each time they came, they were prompt, cheerful, friendly, incredibly hard working in all weather. They always stuck to the schedule and to the budget and the men definitely provided way more than I expected and had great attitudes. Nick's Moving is my go-to moving company. I will call them for sure for any job big or small. Way to go Nick's! Keep up the great work!

Found these guys after calling a number of places, they had the best prices. Was just a short move just to the next town over and they did a solid job. They worked quickly and methodically and didn't damage anything. Hope not to move again in awhile but I highly recommend Nick's if you're looking for a good moving company

3 Words to describe my moving experience with Nick's:

Stress Relieving, Professional and Friendly.

Finding a moving company was REALLY HARDI Every mover I called wanted serious $$$ until I dialed Nick's.

The receptionist at Nick's was kind. She could tell I was frustrated and hooked me up with a great deal.

Nothing was broken during the move, but they were a couple minutes "fashionably" late. They said it was traffic, but they're a moving company right? Shouldn't they be used to it...

It's not like I did it full blown again but I did call Nick's to help with a move, they came, they helped, and they did a great job:

This time we needed Nick's to move a bunch of stuff from my parents' house over to our house, and move some stuff from my parents' house to a storage space, and move some stuff from our house to the storage space I explained this crazy scenario to Nick himself, a very hands-on owner, and he sent three terrific, hard working, patient men. The things at my parents' house were scattered in different rooms; in some rooms, only one or two pieces were to be moved, In other rooms none, and in other rooms, everything. Some pieces were very fragile, some were very heavy.

Also, it was boiling hot out.

These three men were cheerful, diligent, able and they did a fantastic job navigating both the move and the weird family dynamics.

I swear I'll never move again, but if I need a mover, I'm calling Nick's!

These guys are wonderful - prompt courteous and polite as well as super careful. Jimmy, Dwayne and Dell arrived on time, handled our items with care as well as being careful with walls and doors.
Our daughter had used them years ago and was so impressed, she told me I had to use them for our move. So glad we did. We would absolutely use them again. Only have one caution. It is difficult to predict how long a move will take. They did not take any breaks but our move was double the estimated time, so figure on paying more than you anticipate.

Before the allotted time I had a call from my team of Mark and Will that they were on their way. They showed up on time and dug right in. Despite the unusually hot day they stayed motivated and happy. They were efficient and gentle with all of my things. They took it all apart and put It all together again.

If only they could clean! 🙂 I would use them again and recommend them to all my friends.

I've used Nick's twice now when moving within the city of Boston. Great service. Always nice guys, they come In with a plan, and work very efficiently. Highly recommend using them from both a quality of service and cost perspective.

Dave @ Nick's Moving Company was such a lifesaver and helped me coordinate a move same day! I only had 5 pieces and 1/2 a mile to move, but was managing it remotely and needed it done that day. He helped get all the pieces together and get movers on It ASAP. Even when there were some post move issues, he was so great at honoring his word and putting the customer first. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anybody else and plan on spreading the word to my friends who use movers nonstop with every apartment change.

Nicks was referred to us by a friend. we were moving from RI to Boston and needed help moving stuff to our 5th floor walkup. Timeliness was important since our rental truck was due with tight schedules and our drive was long.

The quoted price for services was very reasonable. On the day of the appointment; Mark, Tom, and Franco arrived 10 minutes early, planned the move, and efficiently unloaded the truck all in 50 minutes flat. This was a very pleasant surprise.

They were very careful with every item, and in spite of the great number of stairs plus some heavy boxes; were very professional, courteous, and congenial throughout. At the end of the hour, all our stuff was In our new place, with not a single scratch/scuff on any delicate item.

I will definitely recommend them to anyone who Is looking for a painless experience; and will certainly utilize them for our future moves.

I was really impressed with Nick's customer service leading up to our move and the moving day process as well.

We had to reschedule our move several times as our closing date kept changing. The office manager was professional and helpful each time we called to change the date.

Mark, Santos, and Scotty did an excellent job on our moving day. They arrived right on time and got right to work. They worked seamlessly as a team, saving valuable time. It was the hottest day of the summer but they were fast and professional.

Their professionalism made the moving day totally stress free. I actually was on a work conference call for most of the time that they were unloading the truck because I knew I didn't need to worry about them! They delivered all of our boxes to the correct destination room, making unpacking a breeze.

we ended up having to hoist our box spring as it wouldn't fit over the stairs. Mark clearly explained what they needed to do, why, and how much it would cost. I appreciated that he took the time and was transparent with me.

We will be using Nick's again in the future and recommend them to friends. Great value and great guys!

Nick's Moving Company made my move as stress-free as it could have possibly been. All of my communications with them were efficient and pleasant, and they're also surprisingly affordable.

On the day of the move, the movers showed up exactly on time, and had my entire apartment packed and then unpacked in the new apartment in less than an hour. I was moving fairly close by. so the drive wasn't long, but it still kind of blew my mind- I was expecting it to take at least three hours. In addition to moving my apartment so easily, the movers were also Just really friendly and professional.

If (when) I have to move again, I'm definitely going to be calling Nick's- couldn't imagine a better moving experience.

I struggled whether to give this company a 4 or 5 and ended up giving a 5 for a few reasons.

1). They were on the lower end of their estimate. Quoted 4-5 hours and ended up taking 4.25.
2). For the whole move, only 2 wine glasses were damaged, everything else is In the same shape as it was in our old apartment.
3). The guys moving were personable and genuinely seemed like they wanted to complete the job as quickly as they could.
4). They were able to get me in 5 days before my move date.

As background, I was moving from a 2 BD in the West End on the 10th floor of an elevator building to a 1 BD 4th floor walk-up In the Fenway/Kenmore neighborhood. The rate was ~$130 per hour for the move-out and ~$140 for the move-in (reasoning was because it was a walk up above the 3rd floor, anything over 3 is charged extra per hour). Prices seemed reasonable and the only other surcharges were for diesel fuel ($20) and some of their tape ($3) that I used.

$600 plus tip for my move is much less than I expected to pay. All in all a great experience, highly recommended.

Efficient. Fast. On Time.

I arranged a small local move with Nick's Moving Company on extremely short notice. (moved one day after speaking with them!)

The original estimate for the move was 3 hours -- it ended up taking less than half that time! (I had all my stuff pre-packed, furniture disassembled, and also helped with loading/unloading).

Not only were they quick, they handled all of my stuff with care. Everything arrived without at scratch. The two movers were also very easy going and friendly.

Finally, even though my move was on the small side, they brought a full sized moving truck (much more space than a moving van, which turned out to be exactly what I needed to avoid 2 trips!).
